At Home Workout Ideas

With most gyms either closed or at a limited capacity, at home workouts are the perfect way to get your sweat on while staying safe. We know that many people do not have actual gym equipment in their homes, so here are a few simple ideas that anyone can do to get active in the comfort of your own home. 

  1. Build an at-home yoga or barre studio. If you don’t have a yoga mat, no worries, grab a towel and a kitchen chair (to hold your balance for those plies) for a barre experience everyone can do!
  2. Create your own mini marathon or 5K. There are so many free apps that you can download to your phone nowadays that can help you map out a safe and fun walk or run trail. We also recommend setting a target time so that you have something to work towards with each workout. 
  3. Use water bottles or canned soup as weights. Whether you are a beginner or expert, simply filling different size water bottles can allow you to build muscle and strength without having to purchase dumbbells. Doing exercises that use your own weight such as push-ups is also a great low impact work out.
